Oren Peli yang menjadi sutradara bagian pertama kini hanya menjabat sebagai produser saja sementara kursi sutradara dilimpahkan pada Tod Williams. Belum banyak informasi yang beredar soal alur kisah yang bakal diangkat film ini kecuali bahwa para pemain bagian pertama akan tetap mendapat peran dalam bagian kedua ini
