In the train, he meets Ruksar (Priyanka Chopra), a young woman who ran away from her home with her best friend to become a famous film star. The two bond over their careers but part ways after arriving in Bombay. While looking for his hotel, Govind runs into Mahi (Prachi Desai), a confident and modern girl. After a few embarrassing encounters, the two gradually become friends. Ruksar is eager to meet Govind again and the two hit it off at a party. When Govind notices a photo journalist following him and Ruksar, he holds Mahi’s hand to mislead him, unaware that Mahi has taken it seriously and fallen in love with him. It is then revealed that she is the best friend that Ruksar had ran away with, and the two tell each other about the man they’ve fallen in love with, not realizing it is the same person. Ruksar tells Mahi to bring her newfound love to her film premiere, which Govind agrees to, thinking he will tell Mahi about his love for Ruksar there.
